What is happening to everydayhero®?  

On 30 November 2020, we will be discontinuing the everydayhero® fundraising platform. This means your organisation will no longer be able to launch campaigns on or receive donations via the platform from this date. You will continue to be able to log in to your everydayhero account for reporting purposes until 20 December 2020.

Over the coming weeks, we will be working with you to move your online fundraising from everydayhero onto our JustGiving® platform. Over the last 20 years, JustGiving has become synonymous with fundraising innovation, and is trusted by thousands of charities and millions of people worldwide.

With 100% of our focus on one digital fundraising platform, we’re excited about all the new ways we can help your organisation save time and raise more money.

What specifically does this mean for my organisation if we use everydayhero?    

After 30 November 2020, your organisation will no longer be able to accept donations on the everydayhero platform. You will continue to be able to log in to your everydayhero account for reporting purposes until 20 December 2020. Over the coming weeks, we will be working with you to move your online fundraising from everydayhero onto our JustGiving® platform.

What will happen to our campaign/event on everydayhero right now?  

Blackbaud will be fully supporting everydayhero through to 30th November 2020, so if you have an existing campaign live and running that is due to end by then, you can continue to run it on everydayhero as planned. If your event will not be completed by 30th November 2020, please speak to your Account Manager or email success@justgiving.com and we can talk through the options for your charity.   

We have a campaign/event planned for later this year, can we still use everydayhero?  

We recommend all new campaigns are created on our JustGiving platform. If you have any questions about specific features or functionality you’d like to use for your campaign, please speak to your Account Manager or email success@justgiving.com and we can talk through the options for your charity.

When will our final donations and event registration fees be paid over?

The final disbursement will be paid 11th December, to arrive Tuesday 15th December 2020.

When’s the last date I can refund donations?

Once the final payments have been paid over to charities, unfortunately we won’t be able to refund donations.

What are the fees on JustGiving?

It’s free to join JustGiving - there’s no sign-up or monthly fee and we charge 0% platform fees to donors. Instead, we give donors the option to make a voluntary contribution to the cost of maintaining our platform should they wish.

Our payment processing fee is 2.9%.

How do I create a JustGiving account? Will it be created for me?

New to JustGiving? It’s free and simple to sign up! You can do that here: www.justgiving.com/charities

Will all my data be moved over to JustGiving?

Unfortunately, your fundraising and supporter data can’t be moved from everydayhero to JustGiving. We recommend your organisation downloads all its available reports from your everydayhero account as soon as possible prior to the platform closing down on 30th November 2020, but you will continue to be able to log in to your everydayhero account for reporting purposes until 20 December 2020.

When will fundraising pages close?

Fundraising pages will close for donations on 30th November 2020 at midnight.

Are you communicating with active fundraisers?

Yes, we will be in touch with fundraisers to let them know when their pages will be closing.

Will fundraising pages be visible after the everydayhero has closed?

Fundraising Pages on everydayhero will no longer be visible from 30th November 2020.

Can I use fitness integrations on JG?

There are features on EDH that aren’t available on JustGiving, such as itemised offline gifts, what do we do?

We’re constantly adding new features and functionality to JustGiving, so we recommended speaking to your Account Manager or our Customer Success team (success@justgiving.com) to get the latest information about our tools and features.

We used to use JustGiving, how do I reactivate my account?

To reactivate your charity account on JustGiving, simply log in using the credentials from when you were previously registered and follow the steps. If you need a reminder of your login details, or the person who used to manage your JustGiving account has left, email us on memberships@justgiving.com and we’ll be happy to help.

I didn’t know we had a JustGiving account, how do I access it?

Email charities@justgiving.com to request login details for your organisation, we’ll be happy to help.
